LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

About the Role:

The Learning and Development Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of employees across the organization to drive performance and growth. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering effective training programs that align with business objectives and support career development. The specialist will analyze training needs, create instructional materials, and implement onboarding processes to ensure new hires are well-prepared and engaged. By leveraging adult learning theories and best practices, the role aims to foster a culture of continuous learning and employee engagement. Ultimately, the specialist contributes to building a highly skilled workforce that supports organizational success and adaptability in a dynamic business environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in creating training manuals and utilizing learning management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Training and Development (e.g., CPLP, CPTD) or related credentials.
• Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
• Background in employee engagement strategies and career development planning.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools to assess training effectiveness.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed organizational structure.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities within the organization.
• Design and develop comprehensive training programs, including instructional materials, manuals, and e-learning content tailored to diverse learning styles.
• Facilitate onboarding sessions and ongoing training initiatives to ensure employees are equipped with necessary knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to create relevant and impactful training solutions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics to continuously improve learning outcomes.
• Promote employee engagement and career development by providing guidance and resources that support professional growth.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of adult learning theories and industry trends to enhance training strategies.
