Learning Center- Assistant

The Kumon Math and Reading Center of Hanover-Arundel Mills is looking to hire a candidate to work with children at our learning center. Here at Kumon we strive to help each student achieve his or her highest potential in their academics by promoting good work skills and study habits. The new hire will assist the instructor in the grading of Kumon worksheets, parent communication, student observation and instruction of lessons. This opportunity is ideal for student teachers and individuals interested in education and working with children.

Requirements:

• Able to work in the U.S.
• Competency in Math and in Reading (Kumon Test will be administered)
• Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
• Prior teaching experience is a plus (private tutoring, sports, church etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with adults and children
• Open-minded and willingness to learn
• Enthusiasm working with the children
• Ability to work part-time Tuesday-Friday from 12:30-4:00PM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.75 - $18.25 per hour
