The role of the Learning Support Assistant (UAE National) is to provide support to Students & Staff in the Early Years & Primary Phases of the School. The Learning Support Assistant will support the teachers in enhancing the effective involvement of students in their academic and social development.Reporting To: Class TeacherResponsibilities: • Support & work alongside Teachers planning to support students learning.• Preparing the learning environment under the direction of the Teacher i.e preparing classrooms materials, equipment & supplies.• Monitor, maintain & review records of student progress and provide support based on their needs.• Support the teachers during field trips, group activities, sports events or other events etc.• Support specific groups of students in lessons so that they may access learning at their own pace.Job Specification: • An ‘Outstanding’ teaching experience with at least 2 years of experience working in an international school.• The candidate should hold a degree i.e., B.Ed. or a B.A or equivalent.• Proficient and experienced at teaching Arabic to native & non-native students at FS2, Key Stages 1,2, 3 & 4, GCSE / IGCSE, and Key Stage 5 (A/A2/AS Levels via Edexcel, AQA and CIE);• Candidates’ qualifications will need to be attested by the UAE Embassy in the country of qualification including the attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dubai. In addition, the candidates qualifications will need to go through the equivalisation process.• Fluent in Arabic and English speakers available to work from 7 am – 3.30 pm.• Strong work ethics along with a commitment to staff & student privacy.• Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
