Lease Administration
- Review, abstract, and interpret commercial lease agreements, amendments, renewals, terminations, and related documents.
- Maintain accurate lease data and critical dates within Yardi, ensuring updates are timely and error-free.
- Track key lease milestones (options, expirations, escalations, COIs, etc.) and communicate deadlines to the relevant departments.
- Prepare lease summaries and reports for senior leadership and property/asset management teams.
- Assist with compliance efforts by monitoring adherence to lease requirements.
Legal & Paralegal Functions
- Review legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with company policies.
- Draft lease-related correspondence, notices, and addendums (non-legal advice).
- Coordinate with attorneys, landlords, tenants, brokers, and internal departments regarding lease terms, disputes, or clarification needs.
- Maintain organized digital and physical files for all legal and lease documents.
- Support legal research and fact-gathering as needed.
Operational Support
- Assist with onboarding new properties into Yardi, including data entry, validation, and system setup.
- Collaborate with accounting on rent schedules, CAM reconciliations, billing changes, and other financial items tied to lease obligations.
- Support the asset management and property management teams with ad hoc reporting and document requests.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding lease status, documentation, and obligations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Lease Administration experience
- Paralegal experience required with strong understanding of contracts and legal terminology.
- Hands-on Yardi experience is required
- Strong understanding of lease structures, rent calculations, and CAM/TI provisions.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and errors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in real estate, property management, legal, or asset management environments.
- Familiarity with additional property management software or document management systems.
- Experience supporting multi-property or multi-state portfolios.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
