Our client Riphah International University is looking for a Lecturer in Cyber Security and Information Security in Islamabad

Riphah International University is seeking a qualified and knowledgeable Lecturer in Cyber Security/Information Security to join its academic team. The ideal candidate holds a Master of Science degree in Cyber Security or Information Security from an HEC recognized institute and possesses a strong background in network security, cryptography, and ethical hacking. This role focuses on delivering high-quality education, conducting in-depth research on cyber security threats and countermeasures, and guiding students through the complexities of information security. The position requires a professional with at least one year of relevant experience who is passionate about advancing knowledge and skills in this dynamic and critical field.

The Lecturer will be responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, developing course materials, and supervising student projects related to cyber security. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in security protocols and standards such as SSL/TLS and IPSec, and be adept at performing risk assessments and implementing effective security measures. While this role does not involve managing a team, it demands excellent organizational and communication skills to foster an engaging learning environment and to contribute to the universitys academic excellence in information security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver lectures and tutorials on Cyber Security and Information Security topics.
• Create comprehensive course materials, including syllabi, presentations, and assessments that align with current industry standards and research findings.
• Conduct cutting-edge research focused on cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging countermeasures to contribute to academic knowledge.
• Guide and supervise students in laboratory work, projects, and dissertations related to network security and cryptography.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical exercises, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in security protocols, ethical hacking techniques, and penetration testing methodologies.
• Perform detailed cyber security risk assessments and develop frameworks to help mitigate potential threats in simulated environments.
• Collaborate with academic peers to improve course content and participate in departmental meetings and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with academic standards and university policies to maintain the quality and integrity of the educational programs.
• Promote awareness of cyber security best practices and policies within the university community.
• Contribute to the preparation of research papers, conferences, and seminars that highlight advancements in information security.
