Legal Coordinator

About Role

The Legal Coordinator - Compliance supports the airline’s Group Legal & Compliance Division by coordinating legal, compliance, regulatory, and administrative activities to ensure compliance with applicable aviation and corporate laws and regulations, and international airline standards. The role plays a key part in supporting the airline’s regulatory readiness, audits, and ongoing compliance obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation, review, and filing of compliance cases, reports, manuals, policies, and procedures.
• Track regulatory deadlines, audit schedules, and corrective action plans.
• Liaise with internal Qatar Airways Group departments including Flight Operations, Safety, Engineering & Maintenance, Ground Operations, Security, Quality, Finance, and HR on compliance matters.
• Ensure accuracy of Compliance Management System and the end-to-end processes are completed as per the objectives set by the management.
• Coordinate correspondence and submissions with aviation regulators and relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and investigations.
• Ensure proper document control, version management, and record retention in line with regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular reports to Group Compliance Senior Management.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of legal, compliance, regulatory, and operational information.
• Takes and transcribes dictation, drafts letters and internal memos independently, process, handle, and maintain all types of sensitive information.
• Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise.
• Ensure full awareness of work health and safety requirements and expectations in order to minimize health and safety risks for self and colleagues.
• Consult the Group’s Data Protection Officer in matters related to data protection and privacy as appropriate.
• Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures regarding the use, processing, disclosure and security of any information (in any form).
• Keep abreast with any market trends and developments.
• Provide general legal, compliance, and administrative support to the Group Legal & Compliance Division as required.
