Legal Counsel

W&P Partners is proud to partner with a rapidly scaling global AI infrastructure company. With offices in London, New York, and San Francisco, and a lean team operating at exceptionally high standards, the company is now seeking a highly capable Legal Counsel to join at a crucial growth stage.

The Opportunity

This is a senior, autonomous role reporting directly to the General Counsel. You will play a key part in advising leadership and supporting a business at the forefront of AI infrastructure, working in a fast-paced environment where trust, independence, and reliability are essential.

You will:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Advise on a wide range of legal issues including commercial matters, employment issues, regulatory compliance, and contractual risk.
• Work directly with senior stakeholders, including executives and business unit leaders.
• Lead legal research and take full ownership of matters from initiation to conclusion.
• Operate with confidence and minimal supervision, providing solutions-focused guidance under tight deadlines.
• Support the wider business where needed, becoming a trusted internal advisor within a high-performance organisation.

This role is based in New York, with the company operating a remote-first approach.

Experience & Skills:

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 5+ PQE, ideally with experience across both private practice and in-house environments.
• Strong track record negotiating complex commercial transactions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities confidently in a fast-moving and high-expectation setting.
• Experience working either independently or in small teams, and comfortable taking full responsibility for workstreams.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset – someone who does not need close supervision and takes ownership from day one.
• Intellectual curiosity, strong communication skills, and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders directly.
