In-House Legal Counsel (Memphis)


The Juice Plus+ Company is a multi million-dollar competitor in the health and wellness industry, using a unique combination of direct sales and e-commerce to market our plant-based nutritional products in pursuit of our mission to “Inspire Healthy Living Around the World.”


We are actively recruiting for the newly created position of role of In-House Counsel (c.1-3 years legal experience). This role is dedicated to providing comprehensive legal counsel and support to the Juice Plus Company, with a particular focus on our North American business. Reporting to the Global Chief Legal Counsel (based in EMEA), this position will advise on a wide range of corporate legal matters, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and employment law, while upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.


Your Day to Day


  • Provide legal advice and counsel to business stakeholders
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and NDAs, with a high degree of independence.
  • Lead contract negotiations with vendors and business partners.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a comprehensive legal document management system.
  • Advise on employment law matters and assist the People & Culture team with related issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging legal issues that impact business operations.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory compliance matters, monitor changes in law, and assist with policy development and implementation to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Manage legal risk assessment and mitigation strategies in collaboration with business units.
  • Assist with intellectual property matters including trademarks, patents, licensing agreements, and other IP portfolio maintenance.



You will bring


  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 1-3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an in-house legal department or a law firm with a focus on corporate law.
  • Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. state, with a preference for Tennessee or the ability to become admitted in Tennessee.
  • Strong understanding of US corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
