Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Intake Specialist to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Conduct initial client interviews via phone or online platforms, gathering comprehensive case details across various legal practice areas such as estate planning, family law, personal injury, and more
- Manage and prioritize incoming inquiries efficiently using legal case management systems like Clio Grow, Clio Manage, or Document Management Systems
- Review and analyze client documents for completeness and accuracy, including legal research and document review tasks using Westlaw or LexisNexis
- Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure timely follow-up on client cases and inquiries
- Maintain meticulous records of all interactions, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards and data entry protocols
- Assist with administrative duties such as filing, document management, proofreading, transcription, and data entry to support daily office operations
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette and organizational skills to create a welcoming experience for clients seeking legal assistance
Skills
- Strong knowledge of diverse legal fields including estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, banking law, bankruptcy law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, litigation, contracts, and more
- Experience with legal case management software such as Clio or document management systems like iManage or Westlaw
- Proficiency in conducting legal research using LexisNexis or Westlaw to support case development
- Excellent interviewing skills combined with strong writing skills for legal drafting and proofreading
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with effective organizational skills and attention to detail
- Background in paralegal work or legal administrative experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with clerical tasks including filing, data entry, document review, transcription, and document management systems
- Exceptional communication skills with professional phone etiquette and organizational abilities to handle high-volume inquiries efficiently
