Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across various settings. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, trauma, and addiction, fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 and ICD coding systems, to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy.
  • Implement crisis management strategies and provide immediate support for patients experiencing acute mental health crises or PTSD symptoms.
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, psychiatrists, educators, and community agencies to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records within electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Engage in clinical research activities related to behavioral health interventions and contribute to data collection efforts for quality improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate intake assessments and case management services for patients with complex needs such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or Alzheimer’s care.
  • Provide specialized counseling for pediatric populations including pediatrics and special education needs while working with children and their families.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with current certification or inter
  • Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
  • Strong background working with children, families, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Geriatrics, or Alzheimer’s care.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and data collection purposes; experience with CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10/ICD coding preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health conditions; experience in hospital or clinical research settings is a plus.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations while adhering to HIPAA standards for medical records confidentiality.
  • Excellent crisis intervention skills with the ability to manage emergency situations effectively.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments is highly desirable.
