Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health and behavioral health services, with expertise in providing comprehensive clinical counseling, case management, and crisis intervention. As an LCSW, you will deliver patient-centered care across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health support within a compassionate and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews, to determine individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement specialized interventions for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, or Alzheimer's care.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to integrate mental health services with physical healthcare plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Document clinical encounters accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems and adhere to medical documentation standards using appropriate medical terminology and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Engage in case management activities including patient care coordination, community outreach, and referrals to specialized services such as special education or geriatrics programs.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives related to behavioral health or mental health counseling to contribute to ongoing improvements in patient care quality.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience providing psychotherapy, mental health counseling, and behavioral health services across diverse populations.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools such as ICD-10/ICD coding systems and familiarity with CPT coding for billing procedures.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism spectrum disorder—and older adults requiring geriatrics or Alzheimer's care.
- Proficiency in EMR systems for documentation and data collection purposes; familiarity with medical records management is essential.
- Excellent skills in motivational interviewing, crisis management, and case management strategies.
- Ability to work effectively within hospital or community-based settings while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles relevant to behavioral health treatment plans is desirable but not mandatory.
