Licensed Dental Assistant/Front Desk

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Dental Assistant/Front Desk professional to join our vibrant dental team. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while managing front desk operations seamlessly. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive experience for every patient. You will assist with clinical procedures, maintain accurate medical and dental records, and handle administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. Your expertise in dental assisting combined with excellent communication skills will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and cared for.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all clinical areas adhere to infection control protocols using aseptic techniques.
  • Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside assistance and four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes as a front desk receptionist, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information using Dentrix.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and coding for insurance claims while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Educate patients on dental terminology, treatment plans, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care to enhance patient understanding and satisfaction.

Experience

  • Experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and front desk responsibilities. Will cross train the right candidate.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix for managing patient records and appointments a plus but will train.
  • Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and dental terminology.
  • Experience with dental charting and HIPAA compliance
  • Proficiency in X-ray techniques and dental imaging equipment.
  • Ability to assist with general dentistry procedures confidently.

Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour
