Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist or Clinical Trainee to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and treatment plans
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes
- Facilitate specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and HIPAA-compliant patient records while adhering to confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient assessment, and treatment planning for inpatient and outpatient settings
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively for remote patient care while ensuring compliance with all clinical protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and behavioral management strategies
- Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation
- Excellent skills in motivational interviewing, crisis management, and social work principles
- Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, and diverse cultural backgrounds
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling practices
- Experience in hospital or clinic environments with a focus on patient care and medical records management
- Competence in research methodologies and data collection for clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives
