Licensed Mental Health Therapist/Clinical Trainee

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist or Clinical Trainee to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and treatment plans
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes
• Facilitate specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and HIPAA-compliant patient records while adhering to confidentiality standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient assessment, and treatment planning for inpatient and outpatient settings
• Utilize telehealth platforms effectively for remote patient care while ensuring compliance with all clinical protocols

Skills

• Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and behavioral management strategies
• Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation
• Excellent skills in motivational interviewing, crisis management, and social work principles
• Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, and diverse cultural backgrounds
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling practices
• Experience in hospital or clinic environments with a focus on patient care and medical records management
• Competence in research methodologies and data collection for clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives
