The Lifting Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring safe execution of all lifting and rigging operations on site. The role ensures full compliance with lifting plans, equipment standards, and UAE HSE regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all crane, hoist, and lifting operations on site.
- Ensure lifting activities comply with approved Lifting Plans, RAMS, and safety procedures.
- Inspect cranes, forklifts, lifting equipment, slings, shackles, and gear before use.
- Verify operator and rigger certifications and ensure only authorized personnel perform lifting tasks.
- Conduct toolbox talks specific to lifting activities.
- Monitor load charts, crane radius, lifting angles, and ensure load limits are not exceeded.
- Establish safe working zones, barricading, and communication methods during lifts.
- Stop the operation if any unsafe condition is identified.
- Maintain daily lifting checklists, inspection reports, and logbooks.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, HSE Officers, and Crane Operators for smooth operations.
- Ensure proper signaling methods during lifting operations.
- Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices to the HSE Department.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid UAE-approved Lifting Supervisor Certificate (DM / TUV / ADQCC / Third-party) , LEEA Accredited Training coarse
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in lifting operations at construction sites.
- Strong knowledge of cranes, rigging techniques, load calculations, and lifting accessories.
- Ability to read lifting plans and understand technical drawings.
- Good communication skills (English required, Hindi/Arabic is a plus).
- Strong safety awareness and leadership skills.
