Lighting Designer - Plano Campus

Design and program lighting for services and special events and train volunteers to operate lighting consoles at Prestonwood Baptist Church (“PBC”).

Responsibilities:

• Oversee lighting design at both campuses in all venues
• Program lighting for weekend services and events at Plano campus
• Potentially program lighting at either campus and any venue
• Work with Media/Worship staff as it pertains to worship service looks and video broadcast standards
• Work with Lighting Engineer to maintain lighting plot for both campuses
• Design and implement lighting plots and rentals for special projects/events
• Develop volunteers to assist in lighting areas
• Maintain Planning Center Online plans and people
• Supply training materials to the volunteer LMS program
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC
• Willingness to commit to Media core values of Passionate, Relational, Excellent, Accountable, Collaborative, and Honoring
• Strong working knowledge of GrandMA lighting consoles
• Experience in lighting design and programming for live events and lighting for video
• Experience with media servers (Mbox, Coolux, Hippo, etc)
• Desire for ownership in the lighting area, as well as a strong team mindset and willingness to jump in and help in any situation
• Ability to work a Sunday – Thursday schedule, including Wednesday evenings and flexibility to work Church scheduled events
• Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting/moving gear up to 40 pounds without assistance
