Major Responsibilities:
· Represent clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, and support proceedings.
· Handle commercial litigation cases involving contract disputes, business torts, shareholder conflicts, and related legal issues.
· Prepare for and appear at trials, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
· Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery materials, settlement agreements, and other case documents.
· Take and defend depositions, working closely with expert witnesses and other professionals.
· Collaborate with firm attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure comprehensive case coverage and high-quality client service.
· Maintain clear and responsive communication with clients and team members regarding case strategy and developments.
· Provide strategic legal counsel tailored to each client’s goals and circumstances.
Skills and Abilities:
· Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
· Commitment to providing exceptional client service consistent with firm’s standards of excellence.
· Proven ability to manage multiple case files, meet deadlines, and utilize legal practice management systems effectively.
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset.
Education and Experience:
· Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
· Admission to practice law in the State of Michigan.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
· Experience in family law and/or commercial litigation required.
· Supervisory or mentoring experience is preferred.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
