Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, and support proceedings.
- Handle commercial litigation cases, such as contract disputes, business torts, shareholder conflicts, and related disputes.
- Prepare for and lead litigation proceedings, including trials, hearings, discovery, and motion practice.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct and defend depositions while coordinating with expert witnesses.
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and fellow attorneys at the Firm.
- Maintain proactive communication with Firm attorneys and clients on case updates.
- Deliver tailored legal counsel and craft customized case strategies to meet clients' needs.
Education, Experience, and Training
- Graduate of an accredited law school.
- At least 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- Proficiency in overseeing case files, managing deadlines, and utilizing legal practice management systems.
- Admitted to practice law in Michigan.
- Proven experience in family law and/or commercial litigation.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
