Litigation Associate Attorney

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting time, and support proceedings.
• Handle commercial litigation cases, such as contract disputes, business torts, shareholder conflicts, and related disputes.
• Prepare for and lead litigation proceedings, including trials, hearings, discovery, and motion practice.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions while coordinating with expert witnesses.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and fellow attorneys at the Firm.
• Maintain proactive communication with Firm attorneys and clients on case updates.
• Deliver tailored legal counsel and craft customized case strategies to meet clients' needs.

Education, Experience, and Training

• Graduate of an accredited law school.
• At least 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Proficiency in overseeing case files, managing deadlines, and utilizing legal practice management systems.
• Admitted to practice law in Michigan.
• Proven experience in family law and/or commercial litigation.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
