Overview
George Salinas Injury Lawyers is a San Antonio-based plaintiff firm that has recovered over $500 million for clients in serious injury and commercial cases, led by Board-Certified trial attorney George Salinas and ranked among Texas’ top verdict winners. We are seeking a Texas-barred attorney (0–3 years) for an entry-level litigation role focused on drafting motions and discovery responses for senior review, preparing deposition outlines and digests, organizing trial exhibits, and attending hearings/trials as non-speaking second chair—no solo depositions, no argued motions, no witness examinations, no client calls after hours. This structured role caps stress and hours while keeping you on pace toward higher litigation responsibility. Monday–Friday in-office, 40–45 hour weeks. Full medical paid by employer. Dental, vision, and 401(k) also offered.

Responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, handling written discovery, supporting depositions through digests and exhibit prep, drafting motions for senior attorney review, attending hearings as second-chair observer, and assisting at trial in a non-speaking role. This position requires managing multiple active files simultaneously while delivering high-quality work.

Required Skills/Abilities:
· Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage complex, document-intensive cases efficiently.
· Excellent written and oral communication, including persuasive drafting and courtroom advocacy.
· Proficiency in litigation software (Salesforce or Litify), and legal research tools.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
· Empathy and interpersonal skills for client interactions and building trust.
· Attention to detail and time management to meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
· Commitment to ethical practices, aligning with firm values of respect, selflessness, empathy, integrity, humility, and excellence.
· Spanish fluency preferred for client-facing work.
Education and Experience:
· J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
· Active membership in the Texas Bar.
· 0-3 years of litigation experience (including clerkships or doc-review).
· Experience drafting discovery responses and motions; courtroom observation preferred but not required.
· Strong writing sample required.
· Clerkship or advanced certifications beneficial.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Coordinate with assigned paralegal on discovery deadlines and exhibit prep (no formal supervision).
Physical Requirements:
· Office Environment: Primarily sedentary work performed in a professional office setting at our San Antonio headquarters. The role requires in-person attendance Monday through Friday with limited remote options.
· Sitting/Stationary Position: Ability to remain seated for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours daily) while conducting research, drafting documents, and reviewing case files on a computer.
· Computer Use: Frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, and dual monitors; repetitive hand/wrist motions for typing and data entry.
· Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally lift and transport case files, deposition transcripts, or trial exhibits weighing up to 30 pounds.
