Contract Livestock Specialist

We are urgently seeking an experienced Livestock Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert knowledge and support in the management of livestock activities for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular assessments of livestock health and welfare, identify and treat diseases or injuries
• Develop and implement herd management plans to optimize production and ensure animal welfare
• Provide training and guidance to local staff on proper animal care and handling techniques
• Monitor feed quality and availability, and implement strategies to improve feed efficiency
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for animal health, welfare, and biosecurity
• Maintain accurate records of livestock production, health, and performance data

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working with livestock in a professional setting
• In-depth knowledge of animal husbandry practices, nutrition, breeding, and disease management
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions in high pressure situations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred but not required
