Locum Assistant Teacher (International School Setting)

Job Scope:

• Liaise with and support Class Teacher and Junior School Management Team in all matters pertaining to pastoral well-being, responsibility and strategy
• Supervise students in line with the school's code of conduct for behaviour and discipline
• Complete student observations and feedback to the teacher, as necessary, in a range of formats
• Work alongside the Head of Mandarin in the design of the Mandarin Curriculum for the Early Years
• Responsibility for the day-to-day teaching of the Mandarin Curriculum
• Assist the teacher in the delivery of the taught curriculum, especially Numeracy and Literacy.
• Support students with developing and practising Mandarin conversation throughout the day
• Carry out planned curriculum tasks with individuals or groups under teacher instruction;
• Liaise with parents around organisational issues
• Work with teacher to prepare resources for the class

Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (Mandarin) and have valid teaching certification (L1 and/or L2) from ECDA.
• Ability to deliver mandarin curriculum is essential for this role as candidates have to be responsible for day-to-day teaching of the Mandarin Curriculum
