How You’ll Add Value

The Logistics Analyst role completes quotes with carriers, sets up shipments, monitors shipments for the business, and completes analytical work as it relates to the Logistics expense. They also work closely with the freight payment center to ensure open A/R’s with the carriers are not overdue. The Logistics Analyst will utilize their experience with international logistics, understanding of incoterms, and problem-solving abilities in order to help serve our businesses and customers.

What You’ll Do

Analyze freight contracts (ocean, air, domestic, international) and shipping routes to assist in contract negotiations. Implement freight payment services for our international locations. Request freight quotes from our approved carriers; Prepare and evaluate rates/proposals from a competitive standpoint. Maintain contract rates and tariffs, including applicable surcharges. Prepare and update rate summaries in excel. Review and evaluate freight invoices for accuracy. Work with our internal cross-functional teams, vendors, freight forwarder and carriers to make sure inbound and outbound shipments are booked and shipped timely, and in the most cost-efficient method, across our broad carrier base. Provide internal customer support to Compliance, Supply Chain, Global Operations, and Finance. This is specific to daily tracking, expedited shipments, product freight cost analysis and invoice approval. Monitor volume and spending in all logistics categories and identify cost saving opportunities. Ensure General Ledger coding of freight invoices is accurate. Collaborate with freight forwarders and carriers on a routine basis regarding performance issues and resolution, or to file damage claims.

What You Will Bring

  • Requires BS Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline
  • OR 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with International Logistics
  • Experience with cold chain logistics and arranging biological sample shipments
  • Experience working with Oracle
  • Experience working with Freight Payment Centers
  • General knowledge of transport tariffs
  • Strong systems aptitude with a working knowledge in Global transportation carrier’s and services.
  • Strong understanding of incoterms
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Ability to analyze data and utilize findings to make improvements

Working Conditions

  • General office environment
  • Occasional travel possible (not expected more than 10%)

United States Base Compensation: $68,000.00 - $85,000.00

The posted pay range for this position is an estimate based on current market data and internal pay structure. Final compensation may vary above or below this range depending on factors such as experience, education (including licensure and certifications), qualifications, performance, and geographic location, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
