Job Roles and Responsibilities
Purchase & Contracts

Negotiate annual contracts and business terms with suppliers for the assigned merchandise category.

To communicate with suppliers on a regular basis to update price lists, claim price compensations.

To control the reordering process with various suppliers.
-
To maintain records of purchase details and pricing variations.
-
To lead the coordination with all stores, suppliers, & the warehouse for consolidation of POs/stock transfers and ensure timely availability of products as per store needs.
-
To be in coordination with the stores and brand managers and maintain stocks necessary for sales and to control the reorder process.
Operations
-
Maintain regular communication with the Sales and Merchandising teams to ensure smooth product sales across all available sales channels.
-
Ensure consistent product availability and quality standards are met at all times.
-
Evaluate merchandise assortment and plan the introduction of new product lines while phasing out discontinued items as needed.
-
Analyze and implement cost management strategies for each store through effective allocation of product mix, merchandise, and promoter/merchandiser resources, including successful negotiation with store managers.

Support pre- and post-sales services by coordinating with suppliers to achieve targeted
Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)
levels.

Conduct regular store visits to gain firsthand insights into customer requirements, product preferences, and market trends.

Ensure strict adherence to company policies, code of conduct, and disciplinary procedures.

Lead, train, and monitor store staff performance to enhance operational efficiency and overall productivity.
Supply Chain & Logistics Management

Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to optimize product flow.

Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure timely deliveries.

Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies for efficient stock management.
-
Supervise stock levels and ensure the adequacy of storage conditions.

Follow the stock procedures diligently to track the inflow and outflow of inventory.
Fleet Management

Manage and maintain the company's fleet of vehicles.
-
Implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure fleet readiness.
-
Optimize routing and scheduling to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
-
Supervise and manage company drivers, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
-
Manage Drivers schedule and coordinate with other departments accordingly.
Key Skills and Qualifications
-
Bachelors/Master’s in business management with specialization in marketing/retail management/purchase management.
-
Minimum of 4 years as a Buyer/Merchandise Planner in a large retail organization/Specialty Electronics Chain/ Hypermarket with adequate exposure to retail operations & buying in a multi brand-multicategory electronics retail environment.

Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.

Skilled in relationship building, networking, and professional interaction.

Organized, proactive, and results-driven with strong planning abilities.

Confident presenter with quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
