Job Description

Role Overview:

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end logistics operations of Dana Maris, ensuring efficient procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution of supplies, raw materials and seafood products. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive leader with experience in supply chain management, cold chain logistics, and international trade compliance. The Logistics Manager will play a key role in ensuring timely deliveries, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics & Supply Chain Management:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure smooth operations from supplies, raw materials and company products to final delivery.
  • Oversee transportation, warehousing, and inventory management to maintain optimal supply levels.
  • Ensure efficient coordination between maintenance, fleet operation, production and sales teams.
  • Manage the cold chain logistics to preserve the freshness and quality of seafood products.

Transport & Distribution:

  • Plan and oversee the movement of goods, both locally and internationally.
  • Coordinate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and customs agencies to ensure seamless export and import operations.
  • Optimize transport routes and distribution networks to minimize costs and delivery times.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with local and international trade regulations.

Warehouse & Inventory Management:

  • Supervise warehousing operations to ensure proper storage, handling, and dispatch of products.
  • Implement inventory control measures to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory.
  • Maintain records of shipments, inventory levels, and logistics performance metrics.



Regulatory Compliance & Quality Control:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and fisheries industry policies.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to maintain high product standards during transportation and storage.
  • Manage documentation for customs clearance, import/export permits, and other regulatory requirements.

Cost Control & Process Optimization:

  • Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks related to delays, disruptions, or regulatory changes.

Key Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in the fisheries, food, or perishable goods industry.
  • Experience in cold chain logistics and international shipping.
  • Knowledge of Omani and international import/export regulations, including ISO standards and HACCP.

  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
