Overview:

United Feed Co. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team. As a leader in the agricultural industry, we are committed to providing our customers with high-quality feed products. We are looking for a motivated individual who can effectively manage our logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain process
• Oversee all aspects of logistics, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of products
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and shipments
• Manage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and customers
• Ensure compliance with all transportation and safety regulations
• Develop and train a team of logistics staff to ensure smooth operations
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Stay updated on industry trends and developments to make strategic recommendations for improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics management
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Proficient in logistics software and systems
• Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong knowledge in SAP
• Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
