Job Summary
The Logistics Officer plans to perform and control the logistics operation activities within the organization. This position directs the shipment clearance and ensures effective and efficient monitoring / tracking of all inbound and outbound shipments at all times.
Job Responsibilities
- Arrange shipment arrangements for inbound and outbound.
- Handle shipment clearances, track and monitor shipments to ensure on time delivery.
- Develop reports on products / materials movements and various operational logistics issues.
- Update stakeholders (internal / external) on the status of their shipments in transit.
- Develop logistics along with support plans, budget requirements and organization timelines for new operations.
- Create operational procedures and method statements.
- Prepare reports on material / products and personnel movements and various operational logistics problems.
- Assess existing logistics operations systems and advise on corrective measures to be undertaken.
- Assist in designing and developing standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
- Comply with all applicable Company directives, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor the material movement to and from the workface does not cause damage to the works, the workforce or the public.
- Ensure customers receives their products in a timely manner and good condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients and responding to their requirements.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of logistics (inbound / outbound) Operations.
- Knowledge of Import documentation and export documentation.
- Good communication skills, with experience of communicating cross-culturally.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and other related software.
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience
Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year(s) GCC is a plus

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration Professional Qualification in any related field or Supply Chain / Logistics related course
