We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics & Shipping Assistant to support our day-to-day shipping and warehouse activities. This role focuses on routine logistics tasks such as printing labels, scheduling trucks in customer web portals, sending ASNs, and staffing the warehouse service window.
This position is part-time (4–6 hours per day, Monday–Friday) with flexible start times. For the right candidate, we are open to full-time and/or extended evening coverage after training.
Key Responsibilities

Print and prepare shipping labels and paperwork (packing slips, bills of lading, ASN documentation, customer labels).

Schedule inbound and outbound trucks using customer and carrier web-based portals and confirm appointments.

Send Advance Ship Notices (ASNs) and other electronic shipping notifications as required by customers.

Staff the warehouse window:

Greet and check in drivers.

Verify paperwork and direct drivers to the correct dock or staging area.

Coordinate with shipping/receiving and production to ensure timely loading/unloading.

Maintain accurate shipping records in our systems (ship dates, carrier, tracking info, ASN status, etc.).

Assist with basic inventory and warehouse tasks, such as tagging pallets, confirming counts, and helping with cycle counts as needed.

Communicate with carriers, customer service, and internal departments to help resolve delivery, paperwork, or routing issues.

Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards in the warehouse and shipping areas.
Schedule & Hours

Target 4–6 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Flexible start times depending on candidate availability (e.g., mid-morning, midday, or afternoon starts).

Carrying a few hours into the evening after training to support late trucks or end-of-day shipping needs.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Prior experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.

Comfortable working with computers, web-based portals, and basic office software (email, spreadsheets, PDFs).

Strong attention to detail when printing labels, entering data, and verifying paperwork.

Good communication and customer service skills when dealing with drivers, coworkers, and internal teams.

Stand and walk for most of the shift.

Lift and move packages up to [insert weight, e.g., 40–50 lbs] as needed.
