It entails the teaching of 12 sections of middle school physical education per week, as well as supervising several study halls each week. In addition, the faculty member will fulfill all regular duties and commitments required of CCSC staff.A CCSC Physical Education Teacher can expect to: -Work with a diverse student body from Cambridge, Revere, Everett, Chelsea, Boston, and surrounding cities-Promote a school-wide culture of respect using the principles of restorative justice -Serve as an Advisor to a small group of students-Engage with families regularly to support students learning and well-being -Participate in myriad forms of professional development as scheduled for all faculty-Implement a program of study that is physically and intellectually challenging and provides a structured and purposeful physical outlet for students-Promote health through communication and close partnership with the school nurse-Teach some study hall classes each semester, in order to fill a full-time schedule: -Ensure that students use study hall time productively and hold them accountable for work completion-Effectively support students in study halls who require help with various core subjects-Furnish resources and actively work to support students (print assignments, arrange for school laptops to be provided, help with homework or guide students toward relevant resources, etc.).Qualifications: -BA or BS preferred -Experience in a similar setting preferred-Experience working with school-aged children requiredHow to ApplySend a resume to Kennedy Gomes, Athletic Director, at
