Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in specific content area; Master’s degree or higher preferred
Preferred: Washington State Teaching credential (or ability to obtain one) in content area

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to:

  • Required: Possess ability to teach Chemistry
  • Collaborate in Professional Learning Communities and working toward consensus with team members
  • Structure student learning to meet Common Core, State, National, or other standards
  • Create common formative and summative assessments with department team members
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Strategize for enrichment/intervention to meet the needs of all students
  • Utilize technology (interactive boards, one-to-one devices, google suite) to inform instruction

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: per diem rate of $350/day of teaching

  • 9-acre campus two blocks from Greenlake that boasts an outdoor athletic stadium, a fitness center, sports medicine training room, three gymnasiums, three performing arts spaces including a black box theatre, and a recently renovated student commons.

Please note: This is a temporary/seasonal position and not eligible for health/welfare benefits.
