Overview
Beacon MedTech is seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, troubleshoot, and optimize molding processes that produce high-quality medical device components.

Job Responsibilities and Functions:
Process Setup and Start-Up
- Perform mold changes and complete machine setups.
- Start and verify production processes according to approved documentation.
- Confirm all parameters, tooling, and auxiliary equipment are correctly configured.
- Conduct first-piece verification and ensure process readiness.
Process Monitoring and Adjustment
- Monitor machine performance, cycle times, and product quality.
- Adjust process parameters within approved limits.
- Escalate changes outside established process windows.
Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve molding, tooling, material, and equipment issues.
- Support corrective action activities.
- Document root cause and corrective actions.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure parts meet specifications and visual standards.
- Support containment and investigation activities.
- Maintain compliance with validated processes.
Equipment Care
- Perform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Tooling.
Documentation
- Complete process logs, setup sheets, and downtime records.
- Maintain accurate documentation for traceability.
Training and Support
- Train operators on process-related tasks and quality requirements.
- Share technical knowledge with team members.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, cycle time, scrap, and uptime.
- Participate in validations, trials, and improvement projects.
Safety and Housekeeping
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Maintain organized work areas.
- Report safety concerns immediately.
- Start and verify production processes according to approved documentation.
- Confirm all parameters, tooling, and auxiliary equipment are correctly configured.
- Conduct first-piece verification and ensure process readiness.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (uses PPE as required)
- Ability to read SOP’s, technical documents, and work instructions, along with manuals
- Analytical skills
- Basic computer skills.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
Minimum
- A minimum of a High School diploma; (Or equivalent) technical degree is a plus.
- 3 years of manufacturing experience in LSR, molding or related technical role.
- Experience with ISO environment.
- Proven process technician experience.
Preferred
- Five years of hands-on experience in LSR, Injection Molding, or related technical role.
- Scientific molding
- Experience with validated processes
- Automation and robotics
- Familiarity with RJG or decoupled molding principles
- LSR molding and pumping systems
- Cold runner systems
- Silicone material handling
