Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Runner – After Hours / On-Call Support
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Pay: $21.00 – $22.00 per hour
Location: Downey, CA and surrounding areas

Healing Care Hospice is a growing, mission-driven hospice agency seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team as an LVN Runner providing after-hours patient support.

This role is ideal for an LVN who enjoys flexibility and making a meaningful difference in patient care during critical moments.

Position Overview

After-hours calls are initially handled by our on-call Registered Nurse (RN), who will assess patient and family concerns over the phone. When an in-person nursing visit is needed, the RN will contact you to respond and provide support.

You will always have access to RN guidance and support throughout your shift, and comprehensive training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to after-hours calls from the on-call RN
• Travel to patient homes as needed to provide nursing support and care
• Deliver compassionate and professional patient/family interactions
• Communicate effectively with the hospice care team
• Document visits and follow established hospice protocols

Requirements

• Active California LVN license
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong dependability and responsiveness
• Ability to travel within the service area as needed
