What We Need

At Mohawk, our people make the difference. We are currently looking for a Sr. Manager Maintenance to lead a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring optimal equipment performance across all assigned departments and sites. This senior-level role works proactively to implement the most advanced maintenance and repair methods available. The Sr. Manager Maintenance will oversee Preventative Maintenance, Shift Maintenance, and Supply Room teams, driving efficiency and reliability to support the success of our operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and prioritize maintenance operations, establishing sequences for repair and preventative services to ensure efficiency and reliability.
  • Monitor schedules and coordinate department activities to meet deadlines and deliver maintenance services to specification in a cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and execute strategies that support TPM and Maintenance Excellence initiatives while driving continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance, minimizing downtime and optimizing production output.
  • Work closely with Safety and Quality teams to identify issues, enhance programs, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage budgets, cost containment controls, and monthly spending forecasts, ensuring alignment with capital plans and operational goals.
  • Lead project planning and controls for maintenance and construction operations, including organizing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Foster a safe work environment and maintain high standards of reliability through proactive problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 8-10 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of management experience.

What You’re Good At

  • Leading teams effectively with strong delegation skills while maintaining accountability for team productivity and impact.
  • Communicating clearly and solving problems with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Managing multiple priorities and projects with flexibility, professionalism, and sound judgment in dynamic environments.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Using Microsoft Office Suite proficiently and adapting quickly to change as a collaborative team player.
  • Demonstrating resourcefulness and maturity when working without formalized guidelines, ensuring decisions align with organizational goals.

What Else?

  • Responsible for managing direct reports while working in a high-traffic production environment with occasional exposure to noise, moving parts, and airborne particles.
  • Able to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled facilities and wearing personal protective equipment for most of the day.
  • Flexible to work varying schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
