About the Role:

Manager Treasury will manage the multiple portfolios within Treasury including Credit lines, Borrowings & Debt Management, Trade Products like LC, BG, SCF etc. Accounting / Reporting, Management reporting and Compliance. The person must be a domain expert with a deep understanding of debt markets, banking relationships, and legal documentation related to credit facilities. The role needs a highly energetic, truly committed and established track record professional, preferably a Chartered Accountant.


About the team:

The Global Treasury team at Flipkart manages all geographies and strengthens Flipkart’s ecosystem with primary responsibilities as:

- Seamless fund management with focused deployment strategies & sharp market insight. - Creating and managing credit lines for business continuity & expansion.

- Build supply chain financing solutions for suppliers of the Flipkart group bringing value to Flipkart’s overall ecosystem.

- Partnering with business to add value in new & innovative banking structures & modeling, negotiations, compliance and reporting.

- Build a world class cash management system with reliable & strong banks providing innovative cash collection solutions to meet business needs.

- Nurture relationships with internal & external stakeholders such that, business goals & objectives are timely met.


You are Responsible for

● Manage and optimize existing credit facilities (e.g., revolving credit facilities, term loans), including negotiation of terms, renewals, and amendments

● Ensure 100% compliance with bank covenants and complete RBI/Banking regulatory compliance ● Execute strategies for utilizing credit facilities across various products like BG, SCF, LC, Borrowings etc.

● Analyze market conditions and recommend optimal borrowing structures. Monitor and manage debt covenants.

● Oversee the issuance, amendment, and cancellation of letters of credit (LCs) and bank guarantees (BGs) to support business operations.

● Manage Commercial Card Portfolio across the Group.

● Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with bankers/financial institutions.

● Study and monitoring of market-related variables and analyzing their financial impact on the treasury risk profile

● Develop and implement risk management strategies and controls. Monitor compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

● Prepare regular reports on credit utilization, borrowing costs, and guarantee exposure. Analyze trends and provide insights to senior management.

● Lead, mentor, and develop a team of treasury professionals. Provide guidance and support to team members.


To succeed in this role – you should have the following

● Minimum of 2.5+ years of experience in corporate treasury, with a focus on credit lines.

● Deep understanding of debt markets, banking relationships, and legal documentation related to credit facilities.

● Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

● Proven ability to negotiate with banks and financial institutions.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Experience with treasury management systems (TMS) is a plus.

● Strong leadership and team management skills.
