Overview

As our highly valued Manager, Embedded Finance & Partnerships based in Brisbane, you will have the chance to be part of this growing area of the bank and be part of an exciting evolution of the digital business proposition and managing the partner responsible for the operating model, Constantinople. You will also oversee and manage the unique embedded finance partnerships. This is a newly created role to work with the Senior Manager, Embedded Finance and Partnerships, something different in a growing organisation.

Your commercial experience in a banking environment specifically in partnership/supplier management and ideally experience with contract negotiation and legal knowledge, will complement the team. It will be a fast-paced environment, so we are seeking an adaptable professional who brings a solution focused mindset. You will naturally be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who is self-driven and passionate about what they do.

The role will give you variety, with each day being different! You'll need to enjoy a fast pace and be willing to be flexible in order, to achieve a great result for our customers and the business.

Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Manager, Embedded Finance & Operations and Head of Embedded Finance and Partnerships to ensure business outcomes are achieved.
  • Effective cross functional collaboration leadership with internal and external stakeholders influencing for positive outcomes and benefits.
  • Responsible for supporting the management of the Constantinople partnership and embedded finance partnerships, requiring an in depth understanding of the contractual obligations and performance objectives.
  • Supporting the strategic and commercial planning that includes the development and delivery of the strategic roadmap with partners, to deliver on mutual growth objectives.
  • Managing partnerships at a contractual level including engagement, performance management, continuous improvement and adherence to risk & compliance, including CPS230.
  • Managing supplier invoicing including financial calculations for Embedded Finance partners
  • Adherence to processes, procedures and Risk Management frameworks includingperforming risk and quality assessments on existing and potential contracts.
Do things differently with us Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 7+ years in a banking/commercial corporate environment
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in a role with a focus on managing partnerships/suppliers.
  • A legal degree or experience as a paralegal highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong supplier management experience, including contract negotiation, risk management, contract and performance management.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including developing business cases and interacting with key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated strategic and tactical thinking with the ability to apply commercial and financial principles to make sound strategic business decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across internal functional areas, as well as with external parties.
  • Bachelor's degree in management, business, legal, finance or other related discipline.
