What You'll Do:

Responsible for the management of the daily operation of warehousing functions, and the physical facilities of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all activities of the warehouse including receiving, storage, loading, and yard inventory.


  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and measurable KPI’s.


  • Motivate and mentor staff to meet performance goals.


  • P&L management to meet revenue and expense budget requirements as defined by our financial plan.


  • Foster a culture of teamwork and accountability.


  • Manage all vendors with measurable scorecards and KPI’s that are in line with our goals and objectives.


  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that operational service offerings meet internal and external customer requirements.


  • Cleanliness of the warehouse, offices and all areas of the premises is very important to our operations.ses is very important to our operations.


Qualifications

Education & Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, transportation or related field; or a combination of post-high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

Experience:

  • 8 - 10 years of warehouse management/supervision experience.
  • Proven track record in running a profitable warehouse operation is required. International transportation including bonded cargo handling is required.
  • Strong ability to effectively manage vendors required.

Competencies:

Ability to apply skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Integrate and use WMS and other technologies to improve efficiency. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to work with internal stakeholders in other departments. Previously developed internal relationships highly desired. GFSI system knowledge and certification process preferred.

Job Scope: Position impacts multiple business units/segments.

Working Conditions:

Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Teams, Outlook and Word.
