Job Details

Responsibilities

• Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
• Analyzing and planning work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designing layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Applying statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
• Collaborating with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effective production methods.
• Providing technical expertise or support related to manufacturing, including assisting with new product introductions and training of production personnel.
• Incorporating new manufacturing processes to improve existing operations.
• Traveling to other manufacturing plants to support product launches, process improvements, or troubleshooting efforts.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within the Automotive, Off-highway, or Vehicle sectors.
• Demonstrable proficiency in understanding blueprints, technical specifications, and material resources.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on quality, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
• Ability and willingness to travel to other manufacturing plants, as required.
• Proficiency in using computer software and applications, including CAD, CAM, and other engineering design tools.
