Manufacturing Manager - Heavy Fabrication (Pressure Vessels & Static Equipment)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead and optimise end-to-end production operations within a major heavy fabrication facility in Saudi Arabia.

The role oversees manufacturing of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, modular skids, tanks, piping spools, and other static equipment, ensuring on time delivery, compliance with international codes, and high safety and quality standards.

This is a key leadership position suited for a candidate with strong technical knowledge, team management capability, and a proven track record in large scale fabrication workshops.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day to day manufacturing and workshop operations to achieve production targets and client delivery timelines.
• Manage fabrication processes including welding, cutting, rolling, assembly, PWHT, hydro testing, blasting, and painting.
• Implement production plans, resource allocation, and manpower distribution across fabrication bays.
• Ensure strict compliance with ASME VIII, API, TEMA, AWS and other applicable codes.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Engineering, Planning, Procurement, and HSE to resolve bottlenecks and support seamless project execution.
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, cost performance, and material utilisation; implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive a strong safety culture aligned with industrial and client standards.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate multi disciplinary teams (welders, fabricators, supervisors, foremen).
• Engage with clients during progress meetings and ensure transparent communication on manufacturing status.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's is an advantage).
• 12-20+ years of experience in heavy fabrication or static equipment manufacturing.
• Hands on experience with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, columns, modular skids, and process equipment.
• Strong knowledge of ASME U / U2 stamp fabrication, welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW), and WPS/PQR/WQT.
• Familiarity with client standards such as Aramco, SABIC, ADNOC, or similar.
• Proven experience leading large workshop teams in the GCC or similar industrial environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, production planning, and problem solving skills.
