Responsible for the complete technical operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems onboard a private yacht. Must be very hygienic, clean, disciplined, straight, honest, reliable, fully qualified, and fully dedicated to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, operate, and service main engines, generators, pumps, compressors, and all mechanical equipment.
- Conduct daily engine room checks, system inspections, and technical reporting.
- Perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, filter changes, belt adjustments, and routine servicing.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults when they occur.
- Maintain and service water systems, plumbing, HVAC, batteries, and electrical panels.
- Keep the entire engine room clean, organized, dry, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
- Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, lubricants, and consumables.
- Ensure all bilge systems, alarms, extinguishers, and safety equipment remain fully functional.
- Assist the captain during docking, anchoring, maneuvering, and tender operations.
- Support general crew duties when required without hesitation.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance, repairs, and system performance.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain professional conduct at all times.
Requirements:
- Indi@n nationality preferred.
- Marine engineering or mechanical qualification, diploma, or certification.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in marine vessels or yachts.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generators, electrical systems, hydraulics, plumbing, and troubleshooting.
- Very hygienic, clean, well-presented, and disciplined.
- Straight, honest, trustworthy, respectful, and reliable working attitude.
- Able to work flexible hours and respond quickly to technical issues.
- Good communication in English or Hindi.
