REPORTS TO: SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING MANAGER

STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Assistant executes business development tasks as assigned by the Social Media Marketing Manager. Many of these tasks include media coverage, photography and digital design roles performing a variety of duties meeting the needs of the guests.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Work with Social Media Marketing Manger to create video and digital content ideas for Employer's social media and marketing campaigns and strategies and to execute same
  • Assists in capturing content (photo, video, etc.) for use in creating social media content including YouTube long form and other social media content, in-house and marketing materials, print ads, posters, e-mail marketing, and website content
  • Makes, creates, and edits video and digital marketing content and material including YouTube long form and other social media content
  • Maintains a good public relation at all times by being helpful and cheerful
  • Performs the job safely and in compliance with company policies, procedures, work and safety rules and the team member manual
  • Performs other duties assigned by management

IDEAL CANDIDATE:


  • Education in business, marketing, or related field

  • Experience in promotions, advertising, PR, and merchandising

  • Digital/creative skills: graphic design, website design, email marketing, campaign management

  • Revenue focus: fundraising and sponsorship sales


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants must be 17 years of age or older
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights and holidays
