We’re a fast-growing, vertically integrated cannabis company with a strong wholesale footprint, two established and widely recognized cannabis brands, and two retail stores opening soon. Our mission: deliver exceptional products and customer experiences that set our brands and retail experience apart.

We’re now expanding into retail to get closer to the customer and bring our brand vision to life end-to-end — from cultivation to culture. We’re looking for a multi-talented Marketing Lead to spearhead marketing across brand, wholesale, and retail.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow some of the most exciting brands in the Illinois cannabis market, while also building and owning the marketing engine for new retail stores from the ground up.

The Role

This is a hands-on, full-stack marketing role for a builder who thrives in both brand storytelling and performance marketing. You’ll define the marketing strategy and execute the creative work across:

  • Wholesale + brand marketing
  • Retail store marketing & customer acquisition
  • B2B + B2C campaigns
  • Digital & social content
  • Creative and design execution

You’ll be our in-house creative studio, growth marketer, brand guardian, and cross-channel storyteller. You will work autonomously, managing projects, vendor relationships, and cross-functional collaborations, but will not have direct reports.

What You’ll Do

Brand & Wholesale Marketing (B2B)

  • Grow awareness and demand for our cannabis brands statewide
  • Create campaigns, sell sheets, product drops, and promotional materials for dispensaries
  • Support the sales team with marketing assets, brand decks, and retailer toolkits
  • Develop brand campaigns that elevate the brand(s) across Illinois
  • Lead social, digital, PR-worthy stories and partnerships to grow brand equity

Retail Marketing (B2C)

  • Build and execute marketing plans for store openings, ongoing promotions, events, and community engagement
  • Drive traffic, conversions, and customer acquisition across digital, social, email, paid media, and local partnerships
  • Create in-store signage, menus, promotional displays, and customer touchpoints
  • Launch and manage a robust loyalty and customer rewards programs to drive repeat visits and retention
  • Build and manage SMS, Email and other direct marketing campaigns
  • Visual merchandising and in-store design planning

Content & Creative Execution

  • Design and produce high-quality creative assets: branding, digital ads, social content, video, photography, print, merch, packaging, and in-store visuals
  • Own social media strategy and execution across platforms
  • Shoot and edit video for campaigns, storytelling, and brand content
  • Maintain strong brand consistency and visual identity across all channels
  • (Removed: Manage agency relationships—reframed as vendor collaboration.)

Digital & Growth

  • Own SEO strategy, web performance, content, and analytics
  • Manage paid advertising (Google, Meta, geo-targeted campaigns) within state-compliant cannabis regulations
  • Track KPIs and performance dashboards to guide data-driven decisions

Who You Are

  • 3–6+ years of marketing experience, ideally across CPG, cannabis, retail, lifestyle, or consumer brand marketing
  • Proven experience driving growth across social, email, SEO, paid media, and brand campaigns
  • Proven experience building and managing loyalty and rewards programs with AIQ
  • Required: Strong graphic design and video editing skills, with the ability to produce content independently
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, InDesign) or similar
  • Canva (advanced)
  • CapCut, Final Cut, or similar editing tools
  • A creator who can concept, design, and execute compelling content — not just manage agencies
  • Excellent copywriting and brand storytelling skills for both B2C and B2B audiences
  • Thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where creativity meets execution
  • Cannabis industry experience a plus, but not a requirement if you understand brand-led consumer products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
