La Tanya Wallace NP & Associates is a trauma-informed psychiatric and functional medicine practice serving high-functioning adults who want to shift biological, psychological, social, or professional difficulties more quickly using neuro- and evidence-based tools. We’re seeking an experienced Marketing Lead / Content & Brand Strategist with a proven background in behavioral health, psychiatry, and functional or integrative medicine. In this part-time, remote contractor role, you will build and execute clear funnels for both our insurance-based Associates model and our self-pay offerings (Emotional Reset, intensives, hypnotherapy/MER, and functional medicine). You’ll own strategy, content, and coordination with our small team to attract self-pay, change-oriented clients while maintaining ethical, HIPAA-aware marketing.

This is a strategic, hands-on role.
You will lead marketing strategy and content for the practice and build clear, ethical funnels that:
- Keep a steady flow of appropriate insurance-based therapy clients for the Associates page, and
- Attract self-pay adults who want to move faster with neuro- and evidence-based tools, functional medicine, and high-touch support (not just traditional weekly trauma therapy).
You will not just “do social media.” You will develop and execute a focused marketing plan, write or refine key content, and coordinate a small team that includes the practice owner, a web designer (Squarespace), an SEO and paid ads specialist, and a part-time intern.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a focused marketing plan for two funnels:
- Insurance-based behavioral health and psychiatry clients for the Associates page (trauma-focused, insurance-based care)
- Self-pay clients for faster-change and optimization services (Emotional Reset Method, intensives, hypnotherapy/MER, and functional/naturopathic medicine)
- Create and own a 90-day rolling content calendar (website, blog, email, and social) that speaks to adults who:
- Feel stuck in patterns impacting their health, relationships, or work
- Want a science-backed, integrative approach to change
- Are ready to invest in higher-touch, results-oriented care
- Write or edit clear, ethically sound, nervous-system-informed copy for:
- Website and landing pages (especially pages focused on Emotional Reset, intensives, hormones, metabolic health, thyroid/fatigue, and professional functioning)
- Blog posts and educational articles
- Email sequences and newsletters
- Social media captions and repurposed content
- Collaborate with the clinician-owner to translate clinical concepts (psychiatric care, neuro- and evidence-based tools, nervous system regulation, hormones, metabolic health, thyroid, gut and mood) into accessible, accurate messaging that resonates with high-functioning, change-oriented adults.
- Coordinate with the web designer, SEO and paid ads specialist, and intern to move projects from idea to completion and keep timelines on track.
- Implement basic SEO best practices in collaboration with the SEO specialist, and ensure content is aligned with target keywords and client search behavior for both:
- Insurance-based therapy searchers, and
- Self-pay clients interested in functional medicine, nervous system reset, and rapid-change work.
- Track core marketing metrics (for example: website traffic, consult requests, lead sources, and basic conversion trends) and provide simple monthly summaries with recommendations.
- Ensure all marketing respects HIPAA boundaries and follows ethical marketing practices for mental health and medical services (no unsafe claims, no stigma, no fear-based tactics).
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field required
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred but not required
- Equivalent combination of education and substantial experience in behavioral health/psychiatry and functional or integrative medicine marketing will be considered
Strict Experience Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 4 years of marketing experience specifically within:
- Behavioral health, therapy practices, or psychiatric mental health services, and
- Functional or integrative medicine, women’s health, or closely related clinical settings
- Demonstrated experience marketing for clinicians or practices that provide services such as:
- Psychiatry or psychiatric mental health care
- Behavioral health / emotional regulation programs
- Functional or integrative medicine, hormone and metabolic health, thyroid/fatigue, or similar clinical services
- (Experience positioning self-pay, higher-touch or “fast-track” offerings is a strong plus.)
- Strong writing and editing skills, with samples showing ethical, grounded, clinically aligned marketing for mental health and/or functional medicine practices.
- Proven ability to collaborate directly with clinicians and turn complex clinical ideas into clear, client-friendly language that speaks to high-functioning adults who want meaningful change.
- Prior collaboration with SEO and/or paid ads specialists and web designers to execute campaigns and landing pages.
- High reliability, strong organization, and comfort owning deadlines and follow-through in a small, values-led practice.

Compensation
- Contractor role
- Hourly rate or monthly retainer, commensurate with experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, and functional or integrative medicine marketing
