The North Flint Food Market is interested in a stand-out hands-on marketing candidate who is excited to develop and execute a set of comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the co-op and enhance its brand perception in the community. This work combines strategic planning, campaign execution, and community engagement to support sales growth and drive customer loyalty while supporting the mission, vision and ends policies of the cooperative.

We are asking you to participate actively in store and department operations. Some of what we are looking for is an individual who can:
Develop an annual marketing plan with strategies to promote the co-op, increase brand awareness, and drive customer traffic and sales.
Can you plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns, including promotions, events, and advertising, to attract and retain shoppers? Collaborate with leadership to facilitate cross-functional in-store support and execution?
Are you willing to ensure consistent application of brand standards across all channels including signage, social media, website, email, collateral, and branded merchandise?
Can you be responsible for the creation of marketing materials, signage, and digital content for in-store and online promotions?
Are you experienced in developing digital marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and online promotions while monitoring and analyzing these efforts?
Are you ready to cultivate relationships with local community organizations, businesses, and other entities to enhance the co-op’s brand perception?
We will ask you to promote ownership through external communications, in-store marketing materials, and owner recruitment campaigns, to achieve ownership growth objectives.
Can you create and issue compelling and interesting email communications and mailings?

Qualifications
One to three years’ experience working in retail or grocery store marketing.
Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
Experience with community engagement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience managing social media business accounts.
Experience using graphic design software (Canva, InDesign, or equivalent).
Strong visual sensibility.
Ability to work with budgets and spreadsheets.
Ability to create and follow brand standards.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks appropriately in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and customer relationship management (CRM) tools is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
