Position: Marketing Specialist, Beauty

Department: Marketing – Marketing for Curlsmith, Drybar, Hot Tools and Revlon

Work Location: Boston, MA, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)

Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. What you will be doing:

Marketing Specialist, reporting into the VP of Marketing, works across the Beauty Marketing department to help plan, administer and manage marketing projects and activities. This role will interface with many parts of our marketing team, including Brand Management, Social Media , Influencer, and eCommerce .

Associate will have exposure to working with global brands such as Curlsmith , Drybar , Hot Tools and Revlon .

  • Marketing Support: Assist with marketing activities for the team as needed. This includes assisting brand marketing activations, collaborating on social media community management, or maintaining marketing calendars and timelines .

  • Budget Tracking: Support monthly budget reviews and track departmental spending. Work with broader marketing team and f inance to manage purchase orders, invoices and accruals. Interface with procurement teams to manage purchase requests and vendor setup .

  • Administrative Support: Provide general support to the Beauty Marketing team including proofreading, product setup, claims tracking and other special projects . Facilitate contract reviews and approvals and maintain file storage of agreements for the department .

  • Customer Insights: Help collect and organize customer feedback from surveys, reviews, or social media to share with the broader team.

  • Competitive Insights: Responsible for conducting store and online audit , purchasing of samples, gathering competitive information, and conducting competitive reviews.

  • Creative Projects: Submit project requests to the Creative team and help manage artwork approvals for packaging and other materials.

  • Sample Management: Coordinate product sample requests for influencers, media, or internal stakeholders. Track inventory and shipments.

  • Meeting and Event Coordination: Plan and organize key meetings, as well as manage logistics for tradeshows (approximately 1-2 tradeshows per year). Manage logistics , materials (brochures, banners, samples), and vendor coordination.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Positive, proactive attitude with strong work ethic; resourceful, energetic, and highly self-motivated

  • Flexible, versatile and comfortable working with changing priorities and tight deadlines, able to prioritize tasks and responsibilities accordingly

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner using creativity and good judgement

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint expertise ), capable of creating professional presentations and spreadsheets; Skilled in web research and familiar with major social media platforms

  • Exceptional writing skills; ability to present information in a way that is audience appropriate and concise

  • Highly self-motivated, with a desire to show strong ownership of assigned responsibilities as well as have the desire to seek out new and different ways to help the Brand Team and facilitate their workload

  • Work in a proactive manner, be eager to learn new skills and find creative solutions to challenges while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure

  • Represent the organization and the department in a professional manner to agency partners, medical & legal professionals and vendor partners and be proficient in managing vendor relationships

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related profession/field or equivalent experience

  • 1+ experience in a fast-paced marketing, sales or project management department

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

  • MS Publisher

In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $59,152.58 - $70,468.86 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
