Job Role Summary: To lead the development of the company's commercial strategy by analyzing market data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights. The role is critical in shaping and executing marketing strategies that align with business objectives, driving revenue growth and competitive positioning in the market. The Marketing Strategy Manager serves as a strategic partner to leadership, ensuring commercial efforts are data-driven, innovative, and effectively implemented to achieve long-term organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities Market Research and Analysis
  • Conduct and oversee comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
  • Analyze customer behavior, market conditions, and competitor activities to develop strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare and present commercial strategies for senior leadership approval, ensuring they are grounded in robust data and aligned with company goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of commercial strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Strategic Framework Development
  • Define and implement the overarching framework for marketing strategies and plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Product Development, and Finance, to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Develop targeted segmentation strategies based on market insights and customer profiles.
  • Lead the creation of marketing plans, supporting campaign and event planning.
  • Support organization functions in developing RFPs, selecting vendors, and agreeing on contractual terms and conditions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication
  • Act as a liaison between departments to align commercial strategies with operational objectives.
  • Translate complex market and data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure buy-in and effective execution.
Strategic Support Initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of the company's overall strategy, including business cases for strategic investments and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) opportunities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for long-term growth initiatives.
Safety, Quality & Environment
  • Lead by example in building and maintaining a strong safety culture.
  • Be entirely responsible and accountable for safety risk management, equipment, and performance outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with the EHS legislative requirements and the Company's EHS policies, procedures, and standards by employees and contractors.
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Engineering, Strategic Management, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent strategic management qualification is nice to have.
  • 10-12 years of experience in management consulting or as a business analyst.
  • Previous experience in strategic or commercial management in the steel industry is highly desirable.
