Materials Management Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated Materials Management Leader to oversee our warehouse and shipping operations, ensuring efficient movement of materials and finished goods. In this role, you will lead a team, implement process improvements, and maintain inventory accuracy to optimize costs and enhance customer satisfaction. Your expertise in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement will be crucial in driving operational excellence.

• Drive improvements in productivity, quality, and service levels by tracking and analyzing shipping-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinate the flow of finished goods and raw materials through the warehouse to meet production and transportation schedules, ensuring no delays.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and clean warehouse environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
• Spearhead process improvement initiatives using SOPs and 5S methodologies to reduce costs, improve accuracy, and elevate customer service.
• Oversee inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and compliance through regular cycle counts and audits.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies for manufacturing processes to enhance plant performance, optimize workflow, and increase efficiencies.
• Manage inventory and materials, including raw materials and finished goods, ensuring optimal stock levels.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of operations/production management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in leadership and people management.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Skills

• College degree.
• Experience with operational tactics, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control, and cost management.
