Mechanical Assembler - Final Finish

Position Summary:Perform Final Assembly operations of pump trucks and related products.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Remove paper, plastic, and other masking materials after painting operations
Apply safety and informational decals
Layout and apply customer graphics
Stamp all serial # numbers and I.D. tags
Install all parts not assembled prior to painting operations
Buff, polish, and clean to remove overspray and general production soils
Torque wheels to specified values
Inspect equipment for damage or problems and report to the Final Finish Lead Person
Document all work performed on the Final Finish checklist
Check all fluid levels and fill as needed
Look for issues and report to the Supervisor or Lead Person
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety
Perform additional duties as assigned or required
Able to perform overtime as required.

Qualifications:
Supply own set of basic tools
High standard of attention to detail
Mechanical assembly skills
CDL a plus

Education/Certification/Training:
High school diploma or equivalent
Mandatory safety training (see Total Compliance Management program)
Waste management training (see safety manual)
On-the-job training

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and use hands to finger, handle or touch; frequently required to push and pull.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Ability to climb on and around machinery being assembled.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, peripheral, and the ability to focus.
