OVERALL PURPOSE:
The Mechanical Designer will work as part of a team that provides product design and production support. This support centers on the products produced for Pine’s sister companies Pine Research and Pine Test. The candidate will be responsible for enhancing engineering, manufacturing, vendor and customer interactions which will include site visits, phone and video support, and the development and dissemination of support documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Technical Associates Degree, or equivalent experience
· Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Trained and/or experienced in Parametric Modeling (Soildworks preferred) and Additive Manufacturing
· Strong communication skills, written and verbal, including proper telephone and video etiquette
· Extremely detail-oriented and organized
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
· Understanding of vendor quoting processes
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Develop mechanical designs for manufacturing (BOMs, drawings, and communication)
· Utilize available information and knowledge to support manufacturing and customers
PHYSICAL DEMANDS typically required to perform the essential functions of this job.
Normal office Environment: 90% sitting, 10% standing and walking.
· Use of normal office, computer and associated equipment.
· Valid USA Driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
· US travel (as determined): driving, air and other forms of transportation as necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
