Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the installation and construction of mechanical systems of the projects. Duties includes HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems, preparing detailed mechanical designs, conducting calculations and simulations, reviewing technical drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes, and overseeing the installation and testing of systems on-site. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to details, solid understanding of mechanical systems and construction methods ensuring the project is completed on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in building construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, and mechanical systems relevant to building construction
• Proven experience in designing, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems in large-scale construction projects
• Should have valid KSE membership
• Should have valid transferrable residency in Kuwait
• Can join within short-notice

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring functionality, efficiency, and code compliance.
• Prepare and review detailed mechanical drawings, calculations, and specifications using engineering software and standards.
• Conduct site inspections and supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure proper implementation and quality control.
• Coordinate with architects, project engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into overall project plans.
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and project timelines through rigorous review and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the construction and post-installation phases to maintain performance and minimize downtime.
