Site Supervision

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with proven experience in the supervision of mechanical systems in buildings and infrastructure projects, in line with Dubai Municipality (DM), DEWA, and DCD standards. The successful candidate will contribute to the full project construction supervision across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and review of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection/ LPG
• Review design calculations, shop drawings, material submittal s as per project contract drawings and project specification and in line with local authority regulations (DM, DEWA, DCD) and international standards.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines to ensure site progress in line with project cost and time plan.
• Liaise with Dubai authorities (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, DCD) to secure design approvals and ensure compliance.
• Supervise mechanical works on-site, ensuring adherence to design, safety, and quality standards.
• Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements from contractors.
• Attend inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Respond to RFIs and resolve site issues during construction.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulations and ensure all designs reflect current standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 8 years of experience in mechanical design site supervision, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and DCD codes, as well as international mechanical standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, Elite, or similar HVAC design software is proffered.
• Experience working with consultant engineering firms is essential.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• DM/DCD-approved Engineer is a plus.
• Experience in building and infrastructure projects,
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi/Dubai Green Building Regulations and Estidama/LEED.
• Working knowledge of ADDC/SEWA/FEWA (added advantage).
