Position Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in air-conditioning (AC) systems, ductwork design, and general HVAC engineering for commercial buildings. The engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and coordinating mechanical systems that support office buildings, retail spaces, mixed-use developments, and other commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1- Perform detailed AC system design, including equipment selection (chillers, VRF/VRV, split units, AHUs, FCUs,)

2- Develop ductwork layouts, including sizing, routing, static pressure calculations, and balancing requirements

3- Conduct HVAC load calculations and energy modeling

4- Create mechanical drawings and models in Revit and AutoCAD

Design ventilation systems, exhaust systems, and fresh-air supply

Prepare technical specifications for AC units, duct materials, insulation, accessories, and controls

5- Coordinate mechanical designs with architects, structural, electrical, and other project teams

6- Review material submittals and shop drawings related to AC systems and ducting

7- Perform site inspections to verify duct installation quality, airflow performance, and equipment placement

8- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, IMC, IECC, and local mechanical codes and standards

9- Support commissioning activities including testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB)

Qualifications:

1- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

2- 2– 5+ years of experience in commercial building HVAC design

3- Strong knowledge of AC equipment, duct design principles, and airflow distribution

4- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, Trace)

Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and mechanical codes

5- Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills

EIT/PE license is an advantage
