Role Overview


We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and improving mechanical components and systems across the full product lifecycle. Works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all designs are efficient, reliable, safe, and optimized for manufacturing and long-term performance, with strong exposure to automotive standards and vehicle engineering practices.


Key Responsibilities


  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX.
  • Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, motion studies, and simulation (FEA/CFD) as required.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, concept development, prototyping, and design verification testing.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Collaborate with electrical, electronics, and software teams for integrated product development.
  • Evaluate materials, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing processes for optimal performance.
  • Apply automotive engineering standards , including IATF 16949, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), SAE material and design standards, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T requirements.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement robust engineering solutions and improvements.
  • Support manufacturing, assembly, testing, and quality teams throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document design changes, test results, technical analyses, and engineering reports.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, development, and engineering operations.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or AutoCAD.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, DFMEA, and engineering calculations.
  • Experience working with automotive standards , including:
  • IATF 16949 – Automotive Quality Management
  • ISO 26262 – Functional Safety
  • SAE standards for automotive components
  • ASME Y14.5 – GD&T practices
  • Knowledge of prototyping, fabrication, and mechanical testing for automotive applications.
  • Familiarity with FEA tools, material selection, and durability requirements for vehicle environments.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams.
